Everyday it seems that there are things happening around the world that line up with biblical prophecy. The signs of the last days are becoming more and more frequent just as stated in the Bible. See our blog post signs of the end.
Not only the current disasters unfolding in Afghanistan, the threat of Iran possibly having nuclear capabilities, the threat by surrounding countries wanting harm to Israel, the rampant lawlessness in the US government, the shortages in the supply chain, the coming one world government, the coming digital currency, digital ID/passport Id, droughts, floods, earthquakes, volcanic activity, but also the mandated policies taking our freedoms from us concerning our own bodies, all of this mounts to anxiety and worry filling our minds as we see these troubles.
Jesus our Lord and Savior said the following words as encouragement to us. Words spoken 2,000 years ago are so relevant for right now!
“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30
Jesus also said the following below.
“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In my Father’s house are many mansions, if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. And where I go you know, and the way you know.” John 14:1-4
Jesus let us know that he is coming for us who believe in him, accept him, follow him and call upon his name. He has prepared a place for us. We have hope and peace in knowing we have eternal life as followers of Christ. This world is not ours. We are not of this world. Our time here is temporary.
Then towards the end of the same chapter 14, Jesus said the following below.
“Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. “ John 14:27
Although we see these events unfolding before our eyes we are to trust in our Lord and go to him in prayer. The Lord will give us peace. His peace will see us through these hard times. We do not know the day nor the hour of Jesus return. We do not know how much we as Christians will have to endure. We have trust in Him. See our blog post on Trust. See our blog post on Prayer.
Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. 1 Peter 5:6-7
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7
As part of our walk with our Lord we attend a local church and follow several online ministries. One of these online ministries is LoveIsrael.org. In a recent YouTube video post, Baruch Korman and Christian Barrionevo gave a list of things that can help keep us as Christians stay grounded in a world filled with delusion. See link to their YouTube video. See PDF copy to download.
See list below.
What Can We Do As Believers?
- Spend time in the Word DAILY.
- Pray DAILY.
- Do Not offend or grieve The Holy Spirit.
- Spend time in praise & worship.
- Check everything you hear from teachers or pastors with the Word of God.
- Walk away from any church that focuses on prosperity and things of this world. This includes worship that looks like rock concerts. Ask yourself, does this glorify God?
- Do not sin. If you do, REPENT.
- Walk away from any church that says they are replacing Israel.
- Do unto others as you would have them do to you & love your neighbor.
If Jesus is not Lord and Savior of your life, we encourage you to make a decision to follow him.
This past week in Jimmy Evans YouTube video he gave a wonderful prayer for salvation. See link to video here. Although there is no specific prayer to salvation, this one below is easy to follow. Pray sincerely. Speak out loud. Share with others.
I open my heart to you,
And I invite you to come in
and be my Lord and Savior.
I confess that you are my Lord
and I believe in my heart
that God raised you from the dead.
Forgive me of all my sins.
Give me the gift of eternal life.
From this day forward,
I commit my life to you.
In Jesus name, AMEN!
