Salvation through Jesus Christ is a New Beginning

Jesus is the Son of God who was born onto this earth, lived to teach, preach, and fulfill prophecy.  He was crucified on a cross. He was laid in a tomb and rose again in 3 days and is now in heaven with the God.  Because of his sacrifice, because of his blood that was shed, we are offered salvation through the remission of our sins.  They are washed away by the blood of Jesus Christ.  When we believe, accept, repent of our sins, and confess Jesus as Lord, we are born again.  We are a new creation in Christ. We are his children.  As we follow him we are given eternal life.  What a precious gift!

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
Matthew 16:16
For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.
Luke 19:10
Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.
Acts 4:12

Believe and Accept the Lord Jesus Christ is the Son of God

Believing and accepting Jesus as Lord is part of being saved.  You must sincerely believe that Jesus is the Son of God.  Believe that he died and rose again. You must sincerely accept him into your heart.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
John 3:16-17
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this? She said to Him, “Yes, Lord, I believe that You are the Christ, the Son of God, who is to come into the world.”
John 11:25-27
And truly Jesus did many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book; 31but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.
John 20:30-31
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.
Ephesians 2:8
He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.
Mark 16:16
Then Philip said, “If you believe with all your heart, you may.” And he answered and said, “I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.”
Acts 8:37
And he brought them out and said, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household. Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all who were in his house. And he took them the same hour of the night and washed their stripes. And immediately he and all his family were baptized.
Acts 16: 30-33

Repent from All Sin

If you truly believe that Jesus is the Son of God and you’ve accepted him as your Savior, then you must confess your sins.  Ask Jesus to forgive you.

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
1 John 1:9
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23
I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish.
Luke 13:3
Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins: and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.  Acts 2:38

Do not go back to Sin

Never look back.  Always go forward in Christ.

Be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.

Heavenly Father,

I believe Jesus is the Son of God.

I believe he died on the cross so that I could be saved.

I believe he rose from the dead and is now in heaven.

I ask forgiveness of all my sins.  Please wash me clean.

I confess Jesus as Lord and Savior of my life.

Thank you Jesus for giving your life for me that I might have eternal life.

Please Lord guide my days as I strengthen in Christ Jesus and share the message of salvation with others.

Now share the good news with others. It will be helpful to find a group of local believers or a local church to have a support group near you.

The next step in your new life as a Christian is to be baptized by water. Being baptized is a public outward expression of sins being washed away.

When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him. And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”
Matthew 3:16-17
Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age,” Amen.
Matthew 28:19-20
Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.
John 3:5
And now why are you waiting? Arise and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord. Acts 22:16
The like figure where unto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
1 Peter 3:21
