The signs of the return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ are becoming more evident daily. Whether it be economic turmoil, rumors of wars and war on the horizon, shortages and fear of famine, lawlessness, man against man, or any other end of times signs; we need to be prepared.
The first preparation for the inhabitants on earth is to become saved ‘washed’ in the blood of the Lamb ( our Savior). See our page on Salvation. When you accept Jesus, believe in Jesus, and repent of sins, you are born again. This is the beginning of your personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God. See our page Make a Life Change Today with the ABC’s of Salvation.
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. Ephesians 2:8-9
By choosing to follow Jesus we are given eternal life. We realize even though we are ‘in the world’ we do not have to be ‘of this world’.
Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world – the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life – is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever. 1 John 2:15-17
If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. John 15:19
It might be difficult to endure being hated and mocked by non-believers, yet it is a small price to pay for our salvation and eternal life with our Lord, which is the most important thing we could ever acquire.
“Now is the judgment of this world; now the ruler of this world will be cast out. And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all peoples to Myself.” John 12:31-32
In this passage the one ruling this earth is Satan and he is about to be judged and cast out. Jesus will rule and reign forever and ever!
Jesus said the following while talking with His disciples.
“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions, if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. And were I go you know, and the way you know” John14:1-4
Our new ‘home’ will be with Jesus our Savior. The Greek word (monai) is the translation of mansion which means: dwelling place. Jesus gives eternal life and has gone to prepare a place for his followers.
In Thessalonians 4:16-18, Paul wrote the following words.
For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words.
1 Thessalonians 4:16-18
And Jesus said the following to His disciples.
“I came forth from the Father and have come into the world. Again, I leave the world and go to the Father.” John 16:28
And then later in the same conversation, Jesus said the following to His disciples.
These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world,” John 16:33
The message we are trying to share is that things will continue to get worse. We will have tribulation. We already are facing difficulties now and can see things coming. Our hope is in Jesus our Savior. We look forward to His rule and reign. All the signs mean His return is closer than it has ever been.
He is our Peace. Draw near to Him. An easy way to do this is to disconnect from the TV, radio, cell phone, and computer, open the Holy Bible and read, pray to the Lord, fast, and share the gospel of Jesus Christ with others. Time is short.
If you are not able to say YES!, ask Jesus to come into your life now.
- A – Admit you are a Sinner.
- B – Believe that Jesus is the Son of God.
- C – Call on the name of the Lord and Confess your sins.
Don’t stop there, YOU are a new creation in Christ. Find a group of believers to fellowship with, read and study the bible, and share the gospel of Jesus Christ with others.
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
2 Corinthians 5:17
