Victory in Jesus

“O Death, where is your sting?  O Hades, where is your victory?”  The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law.  But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
1 Corinthians 15:55-58

As followers of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ we should continue to work daily for the Lord.  In 1Corinthians chapter 15 verse 51 through 58 we are told a mystery where we will not sleep but be changed in a twinkling of an eye.  At this time a trumpet shall sound with the dead being raised incorruptible and us all being changed.  This allows our corruptible to put on incorruption, the mortal to put on immortality thus the saying, “Death is swallowed up in victory. “

By continuing in your faith in Jesus, it allows you to overcome the world.  The world has a pull toward us that attempts to consume our thoughts and precious time we could spend following the Lord.  Press on in faith, overcome the worldly thing, and victory is given.

Do not love the world or the things in the world.  If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.  For all that is in the world – the love of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life – is not of the Father but is of the world.  And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.

1 John 2:15-17
For whatever is born of God overcomes the world.  And this is the victory that has overcome the world – our faith.

1 John 5:4

Throughout the Bible are the accounts of God’s people who have the VICTORY because they chose to follow Him.

If you do not know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior there is no better time than right now to make a life altering change to follow Him.  See our link Salvation. See our link Choose Life.

We too can have victory and gain the Kingdom of Heaven to spend eternity with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

The book of Revelation is an account of how everything will come to pass.  This world will eventually come to an end and true believers will be on the winning side with Jesus.

Our focus should not be on acquiring more from the material world.  Our focus should be on the praise and worship of our Savior and what we can do to further His kingdom.  If we do this we may win the race and be victorious.

“For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.  For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?  For the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He will reward each according to his works.

Matthew 16:25-27

We do not know the day nor the hour of our Lord’s return.  We are given the signs of the end in the Bible so that we will know the season.  When we see more and more signs coming to pass, we know the time is near.

If you are reading this and you find yourself in the future facing the decision of whether to receive the “mark of the beast” the answer is NO. All who receive this mark are doomed forever.

Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, "If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength to the cup of His indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever: and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name."

Revelation 14:9-11

The Anti-Christ has only a short time to rule on earth and will never compare to the everlasting life you will have with Jesus Christ and following Him.  The choice is so clear.  Follow Jesus to the end.

And I saw something like a sea of glass mingled with fire, and those who have the victory over the beast, over his image and over his mark and over the number of his name, standing on the sea of glass, having harps of God.

Revelation 15:2

When we read the Book of Revelation of Jesus Christ, we know how it all ends.  John the servant of  Jesus Christ gave testimony of what he saw in the end.

There is a Book of Life where all the followers of Jesus Christ’s names are written.  Be sure your name is written in this book.  Choose Jesus.  Don’t wait.  Time is short.  Things are lining up on a global scale to fulfill the prophecies of Revelation.

Don’t wait any longer to believe in Jesus.  For in the last of the Bible, Jesus said the following words.

“Surely I am coming quickly.”

Revelation 22:20

There’s a song that we love and this chorus of it.

O victory in Jesus,

My Savior, forever.

He sought me and bought me

With His redeeming blood;

He loved me ere I knew Him

and all my love is due Him,

He plunged me to victory,

Beneath the cleansing flood.

Jesus is Coming! Are you Ready?
